Collegio: Textbooks to techbooks
When Graphics and Imaging Technology professor Chris Huitt was in
college, textbooks were printed, bound, shipped and republished every
few years. Last week, his class of 24 used Apple’s iBooks 2 to create a
12-page instructive document complete with links to slideshows and
charts. It took them an hour and a half.
“We downloaded it and put it on all the computers to see how easy it was to put in the copy and bring in the links,” Huitt said.

Chris Huitt, professor in graphics and imaging technologies, taught Layout and Design last semester a little bit differently than he has in the past. Academic Affairs recently launched an iPad Pilot Project and decided Huitt would be the perfect candidate to test it. Twenty-four students in Huitt’s class received a new iPad on the first day of class. Students were allowed to use them for other classes and even allowed to use them for non-school purposes.

Student recommended......Need something fresh? Check out Dribble!
RGB.....Live!
Three anonymous students are bringing smiles to pedestrians on campus.
They call themselves the RGB Men for the red, green and blue “morph” suits they wear. They do not speak, but write positive messages on sticky notes that they give to the students they meet.
