    GREAT GORILLA SMOKEOUT!

Gorillas In Your Midst will be promoting tobacco cessation with their annual Great Gorilla Smokeout November 19th and 20th. A variety of activities will be held 11a.m. - 2p.m. in the Yates Hall Lobby (Nov. 19th) and next to the Overman Student Center Info. Desk (Nov. 20th). This year's theme  "Breathe Easy" is taken from the tobacco free campus initiative beginning January 1, 2015.

FREE PITT 'BREATHE EASY' T-SHIRTS (courtesy of Via Christi Health) to those who support the campus "Breathe Easy" campaign by agreeing to post a picture pledging their support on social media. Other activities include:
    • A display depicting the history and implementation of the tobacco free campus initiative.
    • Free quit kits with cessation tips, campus, state and national resources for support in quitting, and instructions on securing nicotine replacement therapy.
    • Tobacco Jeopardy and a variety of other interactive games to educate participants on the benefits of not using tobacco products.
    • The "Breathe Easy Patrol" — students visiting staff and administrative offices around campus distributing quit kits and information as well as using interactive games to educate employees about the new tobacco free policy.
